Post subject: Fireworks! Guinea pig in?

Hello, I am a newbie here (also thinking about getting a doggy - see my "What dog?" thread in dog section).

My little toddlers have a young guinea pig called "Toby", I have been getting 'him' inside every night because of the fireworks going 'off' in our housing estate every night! Toby lives in a hatch in the garden.

Is this necessary? Also when it's gets very cold in the winter, will I have to bring 'him' in?
